Not all of our subjects are taught in school premises. Since community training is an integral part of our curriculum, Autism Partnership School supplements teaching in monthly outing and field trips so students may learn about the monthly school themes through different channels, in different environments.

| curriculum design & implementation | |||||||||||||||||||||
Every child’s education is tailor-made at Autism Partnership School. Our child-specific curriculum aims to bridge the developmental gap between their current skills level and typical development. After consultation with parents, teachers will administer an informal assessment in the first week of school to identify what specific skills the child has and what skills needs to be taught. A monthly Individualized Education Plan (IEP) is designed accordingly, with specific learning objectives individualized to their symptoms. For a 5-year-old boy who knows how to read and yet has behavioral issues, we prioritize his learning needs and provide intensive skills training on their behavioral and emotional control. These learning objectives are subjected to ongoing review and adjustment based on teachers’ daily data collection. A strict system of quality control and a diversity of subjects are to ensure that at all times students are catching up with their delays and receiving an all-round education that is both functional and critical to their life in school and their life in the community. |

A strict system of quality control and a diversity of subjects are to ensure that at all times students are catching up with their delays and receiving an all-round education that is both functional and critical to their life in school and their life in the community. Autism Partnership School uses scientific means to evaluate child’s performance. For every skill a child learns, there is data collected. Factual data collection tells us the child’s progress and/or challenges and it enables teachers to modify or improve programs with a better understanding of where the child is. In the monthly parent meeting, teachers will explain and discuss the child’s progress and the updated program with the help of the data and videos taken throughout the month. Parents can raise concerns and provide input on their child’s program goals. That way, all relevant parties are informed at all times how the child is progressing. |

Every student is assessed by our clinical psychologist before enrollment. Follow-up assessment will be carried out by teachers on a regulard basis. Assessments provide grounds for curriculum assessment, Individual Educational Plan (IEP) and program adjustment. Annual assessment is recommended by clinical psychologist to identify skill deficits and reflect learning progress. |
